Biography
David K. Olive is a shareholder of the Transactional, Estate Planning, and Medical Marijuana and Hemp Practice Groups of Carnahan Evans PC. His broad practice includes the areas of tax and estate planning, employee benefits, ERISA, business transactions, real estate, entity formation and acquisition, and marijuana and hemp regulations and transactions.
Mr. Olive’s trust and estate planning practice includes preparation of traditional estate planning documents such as revocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and designing more sophisticated estate planning techniques for high net worth clients, closely held business owners and their families. He also practices in the area of employee benefits, including nonqualified plans, ESOPs, pension and 401(k) profit sharing plans, cafeteria plans, HIPAA and trouble-shooting complex ERISA issues. Mr. Olive is also a member of the firm’s marijuana practice group, where he assists clients with compliance and complex business transactions in the highly regulated Missouri medical marijuana industry.
