Biography
Dustin is a trusted advisor who partners with local governments and other public clients to move real estate, construction, development, and contracting matters forward. His practice is focused on helping local governments and other public entities achieve practical outcomes through clear counsel that balances legal risk with operational needs and timelines.
Dustin advises clients on municipal and governmental transactions, including the drafting and negotiation of real estate, construction, development, professional services, intergovernmental, cooperative, and related agreements. He is also experienced in land-use, zoning, permitting, licensing, and code-compliance matters, drawing on his work with planning, engineering, public works, and executive stakeholders.
Additionally, Dustin represents local government clients in civil litigation and property-related disputes and advises boards and commissions for public meetings and hearings for sunshine law and other law compliance. He has significant experience working with public safety agencies on all matter types to include Police Officer Bill of Rights compliance, public-records compliance, employment and labor matters, and high-volume contract and procurement work.
In addition to practicing law, he is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served five years on active and reserve duty.
