Joseph D. Sheppard III of CECB Invited as a Fellow of The American Bar Foundation
Springfield, Mo. – Joseph D. Sheppard III, a shareholder of Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown, P.C. (CECB”), has been invited to accept election as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Selection as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation serves as recognition of a lawyer whose professional, public and private career has demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of the community, the traditions of the profession and the maintenance and advancement of the objectives of the American Bar Association.
Mr. Sheppard concentrates his practice in the areas of business, securities and intellectual property, litigation and entertainment. Other areas of concentration are real estate development and related litigation and probate litigation. Mr. Sheppard is a former arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, New York Stock Exchange, and is presently an arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers.
Mr. Sheppard earned his B.S. from Southwest Missouri State University in 1980 and his J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 1983.
CECB is a locally owned law firm formed in 1979 with emphasis in tax, estate planning, employee benefits, commercial litigation, environmental, probate, real estate, banking, corporate, zoning, franchise, and securities law.
