William E. Evans of CECB invited to speak at The Missouri Bar’s “Practice Entity and Tax Issues” Seminar

Springfield, Mo. – William E. Evans, a shareholder of Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown, P.C. (“CECB”), was an invited speaker at The Missouri Bar’s “Practice Entity and Tax Issues” telephone seminar on March 30, 2005. Mr. Evans discussed the advantages and disadvantages of a variety of business entities (such as limited liability corporations, limited liability partnerships, S Corporations, sole proprietorships, professional corporations, etc.), as well as the taxation consequences and personal liability associated with each business entity.
Mr. Evans concentrates his law practice in the areas of taxation, corporations, business, real estate, and employer/employee law. Mr. Evans is also the Legal Advisor to the International Brotherhood of Magicians, a not-for-profit organization consisting of over 14,000 amateur and professional magicians worldwide, and a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel.
Mr. Evans received his bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University in 1974 and his law degree in 1977 from the University of Missouri where he was a member of the Law Review. In 1980, Mr. Evans received his LL.M. in Taxation from Southern Methodist University.
